“WHAT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR US”, says Rick and Colleen Emmons, owners of Windermere Garden Centre, who purchased Smith’s Country Gardens on Hwy 118 near Port Carling on October 16, 2009. “We immediately saw the potential for growing our business and capturing a brand new market”.
We will be extending our many services to this new location. These services include Fall property clean-up, Snowploughing, Christmas tree sales, lawn and garden maintenance, Annual garden plant-up, Annual plant orders and custom hanging baskets and planters. Some new services that we will be bringing to you are barging on Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph; bulk soil, mulch and stone deliveries and complete tree services. This new location will also feature a store where you will find many unique garden accessories, including our own hand-crafted garden benches, as well as fresh cut flowers.
This new location, so aptly named Windermere Garden Centre Too! Opened for business on April 26, 2010 and the response has been overwhelming. Leading up to the opening, there were several weeks of property improvements and construction; such as clearing existing greenhouses, improving parking & drainage, raising ground levels and erecting five new greenhouses and a retail store “We were also very grateful for having such talented staff on board to help in all aspects of this endeavor.”
